A quiet book that provides much to think about and discuss. View all 11 comments. As Lizzie learns, it all depends on how you look at it, after all. However, I didn’t like that the writing style was in the present tense through-out the elsedhere book.

Elsewhere is a young adult, speculative novel by Gabrielle Zevin. She is able to reach out to her brother but is caught by Owen, whom she met on the island.

This book taught me that even when all seems lost there will be a way to find happiness. Literally sob, even when it’s not sad.

It’s a quick read, but wow — it made me appreciate my life, my family, and love. I didn’t think the issue of the size of elsewhere was resolved – it seemed way too small, unorganized, and culture rlsewhere to be able to receive all the dead from around the world. I am easily influenced.

Although the book may prove too philosophical for some, Zevin offers readers more than a gimmick-driven novel of ideas: Dogs are in Elsewhere too, and while I wouldn’t change a thing about the book, Zevin does risk a little bit of sentimentality gabrjelle it comes to some of those scenes.

Read by Cassandra Morris. It expresses many themes such as death, afterlife, teenage problems, insecurity, relationships, and much more. You fall in love.

I would highly recommend this book for those who like fantasy books. Forget about white light, tunnel. Gabrielle Zevin does a wonderful job with this plot, the elsewhree you meet are well developed and the story made me start crying on public transportation.
